CID Exam Preparation Course

This preparation course is for people who are considering becoming Certified Irrigation Designers (CIDs) or are currently enrolled in the CID exam program. CID is an internationally recognised industry credential that is gained by sitting a series of exams about irrigation design.

People interested in achieving this certification often ask about the content of the exams and how they should prepare for them. This course is designed to help you better understand the types of questions that could be asked and the level of skills and knowledge required. All participants will be evaluated prior to the course in physics and mathematics and support in these areas will be provided if required.

The Aim and Expected Outcomes of the exam preparation workshop are:

  • Improve the mathematical skills (100% accuracy) by using UFM
  • Understand &namp; know how to use the basic principles given in CID study outline
  • Take advantage of the benefits of exam preparation Group Study
  • Practice examples will be based on CID exam questions
  • Build a network (either email or phone) with other participants and the instructor (Myo Win) for any problems when studying for the exam.

Please allow at least 4 weeks of preparation and practice before taking the exam.

Retail Training Courses 2010

IAL together with support from Advanced Industrial Products, Davey, FHS, Grundfos, HR Products, Iplex, Philmac, Toro and Vinidex will be conducting the 11 day retail training course in Caloundra, Qld, from Sunday 5th to Thursday 16th September 2010. IAL members with retail outlets can enrol employees for $1,600 which includes tuition and accommodation. Download the enrolment document (PDF 1.05MB).

Online Training Programs for units in the CIAg and CIM skill sets

This training conducted by River Murray Training supports the IAL's certification program for Certified Irrigation Agronomist and Certified Irrigation Manager. Programs are conducted in real time, online. Requirements are - computer with ADSL/broadband connection, a commitment to attend the 1.5 hr per week online session, and a work context in which to apply learning and develop and demonstrate skills.
